I have been a leather crafter for over 35 years.  I started to learn how to work with leather in Junior High School when I broke my leg.  My mother took me to a Tandy Leather store in Texas and that was it, I was hooked!.  I was sighted for 31 years but lost my eyesight due to Diabetes.  I have been totally blind ever since.

After losing my eyesight, I had to relearn how to work with leather differently.  Once I re-taught myself, I made leather items for relatives and friends.  They started telling me that my leather craft work had gotten better after losing my eyesight.  Therefore, I started selling my products to the public.  I cannot tool or carve leather, so I use exotic leathers (Camel, Giraffe, Ostrich, etc.) to give a different look to a leather item.
